Stainless steel oval tubes are very common in the bathroom, furniture, and electronic and electrical industries because of their good resistance to chloride corrosion, rust resistance, and pressure resistance. In the sanitary ware industry, flat pipes are used, with wall thickness generally between 0.7mm and 1.0mm, and pipe diameters between 38mm and 63mm. In the furniture industry, they are mainly used as table legs and chair legs. The wall thickness is generally between 1.0~1.2mm, or the wooden legs are covered with a layer of stainless steel pipe for protection. The wall thickness is generally 0.8 or 0.9mm, and the pipe diameter is 12mm. -42mm

1. Select raw materials
Stainless steel goes through: steel coil, pickling, rolling, annealing, and slitting to obtain the finished steel strip. Stainless steel welded pipes, you can choose hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel coils, rough rolling or finish rolling according to your needs.
2. Pipe forming
The steel coil is extruded into a round tube, and then the round tube is extruded and deformed through the die to become a stainless steel oval tube.
3. Cutting and welding
The conventional length of stainless steel oval pipe is 6 meters. If the required length is too short, a pipe cutting machine must be used to cut it.
4. Coating process
Perform electroplating, spraying, painting and other coloring processes on stainless steel oval tubes to improve their oxidation resistance and aesthetics.
304 stainless steel oval pipe can be used in coastal areas and areas with high acid-base climates due to its good resistance to chloride corrosion, rust resistance, and pressure resistance.
304 stainless steel oval tube specifications (thickness 0.5~5mm)
Oval tubes are produced by the joint operation of the pipe making machine and the mold. The pipe making machine is a fixed equipment, but the mold can be replaced according to the required specifications. For example, in the above sanitary ware and furniture industries, the diameter of the oval pipe is different, so it must be customized. The mold is then mass produced.
In addition, materials must be selected. The raw materials need to go through: steel coils, pickling, rolling, annealing, and slitting to obtain finished steel strips of corresponding sizes. Steel coils are divided into hot-rolled materials and cold-rolled materials, and rolling is divided into rough rolling and finish rolling. Ordinary stainless steel oval tubes can be hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel coils, rough rolling or finish rolling as needed, and you don’t even need to Pickling and annealing.
The thickness of the steel strip must be ordered according to customer needs. Whether it is 0.7-1.0mm, thinner or thicker, it can be found in the market. Then comes the striping. This step determines the size of the pipe diameter and circumference, and the mold determines the length of each side of the pipe mouth.
Then the pipe making begins. First, the divided narrow steel strips are extruded and rolled into a round shape through a pipe making machine, and then welded using online welding equipment. Online means that it is done in one go on the same assembly line. After welding, it will go directly through the oval mold and be extruded from the original circle into an oval. The last step is cutting. Normally, it is cut into six meters or six meters in length, which makes a stainless steel oval tube.
The cross-sections of stainless steel oval tubes include oval and flat oval. Many people call them egg tubes, flat round tubes, and flat tubes. They are mostly used in guardrails and handrails. Some dealers will purchase the original pipes for processing, and there are also engineering companies. Directly choose oval tubes with mirror or brushed effects.
The above is an explanation of how stainless steel oval tubes are produced. It roughly means that they are first made into round tubes and then extruded into elliptical shapes through a die. Different specifications and sizes will involve the ordering of raw materials, slitting, etc. In addition, if the welding is not thorough enough, the stainless steel pipe will burst during secondary extrusion and deformation; if the accuracy of the mold is not stable enough, the pipe will be deformed, so every step of pipe making needs to be strictly controlled.
